Test Before Invest

Industrial 3D Printing as a Production Method!

Does your company want to be part of technological development, be an attractive workplace, and create valuable learning within the organization?

MIL invites businesses to test how additive manufacturing or industrial 3D printing can be implemented in their production or products. We work with the individual challenges and opportunities of businesses, and through the execution of specific cases, it provides insight into the tools and expertise that can give the company a significant competitive advantage.

What can industrial 3D printing do for your company?

Industrial 3D printing offers more opportunities than most people are aware of, and there's nothing better than testing the technology on your own specific case. This can include the development of specially designed tools for the production line, repair and lifespan extension of expensive components, design optimization, simplification of logistics, and more.

In "test before invest," the intention is for the company to participate in the process and be involved in decisions made along the way, so that the company emerges from the project with increased expertise – in addition to solving a challenge!

Examples of various possibilities that MIL has previously conducted include:

  • Low-cost molds
  • Optimized design for internal channels
  • Specially designed tools/fixtures/templates for more efficient operations
  • Lifespan extension of existing components through local reinforcement
  • Greater control over the supply chain by bringing more parts of production in-house
